Overview
- This Shipping & Delivery Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read alongside our main Terms: shoptheworld.in/terms
- Please carefully review our Shipping & Delivery Policy when purchasing our products. This policy will apply to any order you place with us.
Order processing & dispatch
Before the carrier collects your parcel
- After you place an order, we confirm payment and verify details with our fulfilment partners. Dispatch times can vary by product, seller, and stock location.
- The delivery windows below refer to transit after your order has been handed to the courier — not from the moment you click “Place order”. If there is an unexpected delay before dispatch, we aim to notify you using the contact details on your account.
Shipping methods & timelines
Standard delivery
- We offer free standard shipping on orders where that option is shown at checkout. Typical transit is about 7–14 days after dispatch, depending on origin, destination, and carrier workload — it is an estimate, not a guarantee.
- Holidays, weather, customs inspection, or carrier disruptions can extend delivery times. Remote or hard-to-reach areas may take longer.
International orders
- We ship to many countries worldwide. Free standard shipping (where offered) applies to international orders in the same way as domestic ones unless checkout shows otherwise for your address.
- Where express or priority options exist for your order, they will be presented at checkout with any applicable charges before you pay.
Tracking & updates
- When a tracking number is available from the carrier, we aim to make it accessible in your order journey (for example via your account or order communications).
- Tracking may take a short time to activate after dispatch. If you do not see movement after a reasonable period, contact us with your order number so we can help.
International orders, customs & duties
- Cross-border shipments may be subject to customs inspection, duties, taxes, or brokerage fees charged by your country’s authorities or the carrier. Who pays these charges depends on the incoterm and checkout presentation for your order (for example, some shipments are delivered duty unpaid — DAP — meaning import costs may be billed to you before or at delivery).
- We work with logistics partners to clear imports where that service applies to your order. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for any charges that apply under the laws of the destination country.
- For returns and eligibility when a shipment is still subject to customs clearance, please also read our Return & Refund Policy.
Delayed orders
If delivery is delayed for any reason, we will let you know as soon as possible and will advise you of a revised estimated date for delivery.
Delivery address & failed delivery
- You are responsible for entering a complete, accurate delivery address. If a parcel is returned or delayed because of an incorrect or incomplete address, additional fees or redelivery charges may apply where the carrier allows.
- Carriers may require a signature or leave the parcel according to their local rules. If delivery fails and the shipment is held or returned, we will help you understand next steps when you contact us with your order number.
